What is CMS-CUI?
CMS-CUI is a novel distributed sensing technology for detecting and predicting corrosion under insulation. Comprised of a long thin flexible sensor, it can detect and locate corrosion and moisture in the most inhospitable and inaccessible location
The remote monitoring and analytics system is specially developed to monitor Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) using permanently mounted sensors detecting corrosion and moisture in the insulation.
Coded electromagnetic signals are transmitted by the CMS-CUI sensor system. This data is collected wirelessly through one of a variety of methods, chosen by the client (e.g, WIFI, cellular, LoRa). This data is then analyzed and presented to the client over CMS-CUI simple and clear dashboard with information on the location and extent of corrosion or moisture if present.
The sensor data can remotely detect and predict corrosion development using advanced models and analytics. This can be incorporated into the existing asset management system of the asset owner. Data is used to greatly enhance an existing Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) program, and enabling the move to predictive corrosion management
